The thing which puts clients and students immediately at ease when meeting Teresa for the first time is her down-to- earth warmth, humour and genuine empathy.
Teresa did her original beauty therapy training during an intensive 3 year course in London where standards were exceptionally high. She’s been making people look and feel their best ever since 1981. However, not content to rest on her laurels she strongly believes in the importance of ongoing training and professional development, in order for her to identify and introduce the latest facial therapies and high performance product ranges.
With a plethora of successful roles within the beauty industry Teresa has worked from Europe to the Caribbean undertaking everything from skin care range launches, chief consultancy, to dealing with the media and managing salons. After several years she made the decision that in order to practise her profession precisely the way she wanted – maintaining and continually improving standards of client care – she needed to be her own boss and she established a dedicated and fully equipped facial clinic in her own Harrow home with facilities to satisfy even the most discerning facial connoisseur.
Teresa also trained and qualified in several additional alternative therapies including Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Hot Stone, Hopi Ear Candling and Reiki any of which she incorporates in her facials depending on individual need. Her philosophy is that expectations should not only be met but exceeded and she often surprises clients with special little touches just because she thinks its right for them at that time. Teresa strongly believes in the importance of traditional values regarding quality of service, to facilitate individual requirements, she is always more than happy to go the extra mile to accommodate her clients.
Whilst adept at all forms of beauty therapy Teresa is in no doubt whatsoever that she gains the most satisfaction from the facial work in which she specialises and she has an absolute commitment to resolving any skin issues for which people may seek help. As one client put it: ‘You always come away from a Teresa Treatment with so much more than you went for!’
Highly thought of within the industry, Teresa is also a well-respected lecturer with a passion for passing her specialist knowledge and expertise on to a new generation of students along with her conviction that success lies in always identifying individual needs so the best solutions can be offered. She lectured part time for many years in Colleges and private academies and now teaches advanced techniques for qualified therapists.
